What a wonderful opportunity I have to continue the formal education of these precious children at Mt. Olive! It's a privilege and responsibility for which I am grateful. As the oldest of eight siblings, I guess I've always been a "teacher" and am glad that God guided me along the path to be able to continue to teach. Mrs. Eileen Wassermann-
 Kindergarten-2nd Grade Teacher

I grew up on a dairy farm near Iron Ridge, WI. My parents, along with my brother and his family still live on that farm. I graduated from Hustisford High School. I attended Dr. Martin Luther College (DMLC, now MLC) , graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in  Education. I was assigned to grades 1-2 here at Mt. Olive. Over the next 12 years I taught 1st-4th grades in a variety of combinations.

In 1995 I married Randy Wassermann. Our marriage was blessed with two daughters, Megan & Samantha. They both graduated from Mt. Olive Lutheran School.  During my years away from teaching, I worked at a bakery, did daycare, and for 10 years I was the cook here at Mt. Olive. I recently substitute taught at several public schools.

I have attended a variety of classes and workshops to enrich my teaching; many focused on reading. Recently I have attended classes on classroom management and Google tools.

Mrs. Katrina Wascher-
 ECE Director, Preschool Teacher

I graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in May 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. My first call was in May 2013 to open a Preschool in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, where I lived and worked for two years. My husband and I then spent a year living and exploring in California, before settling back down in Minneapolis where I taught at a community preschool for the 2016-2017 school year.

I am delighted to have the privilege of working with the little lambs at Mt. Olive, and partnering with their parents in beginning their lifelong journey in education! I see each child as a competent, capable, unique child of God and do my best to tailor a hands-on curriculum that meets each individual's needs.

My own family consists of myself, my husband Nathan, our very spoiled dog and cat (Izzy and Piper), and our son--God is good!
